Republican Oklahoma State Rep Sally Kern has attracted 1,000 backers after being outed as the hateful and intolerant bigot that she is. I guess if there is one thing that will attract the support of conservative Christians its hating the gays. If you missed it Sally Kern says that homosexuality is a bigger danger to America than terrorism and that the gays will directly cause our destruction. Watch it here …
In both the audio recording and her rally (revival?) Sally Kern makes the baseless statement “Studies show no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted more than a few decades,” Kern said in the recorded comments. “It is not a lifestyle that is good for this nation.”
I would like to see those studies but I wont hold my breath. Homophobia is a relatively new development while homosexuality goes back as far as humanity. Historically homosexuality was tolerated in almost every society with no ill effects. Even the Catholic Church historically accepted homosexuality and only recently changed their opinion on this, though in some parts of the world progressive religion is still alive and well.
I’m sure Jesus is proud to have wonderful people like Sally Kern carrying on his message of hatred and intolerance. I would like to hear your thoughts on this story so please leave your comments below. Thanks.

God help the American education system.

Rep. Sally Kern was asked recently on a local TV news program what would she do if she had a gay son. She replied she would love him all the more as he would need it.
Yet, Kern continues to insist that gays are more dangerous than terrorists or Islam.
If there is a mother proclaiming to the world that gays are more dangerous than terrorists and Islam and hypothetically has a gay son, and in a public forum has said if she had a gay son she would love him all the more, she has a severe mental condition and has forfeited any resemblance of respect for her virulent views from any decent respectable person with any molecule of sense in their education.
How can she proclaim a mother’s love for her own son, yet condemn the gay children of other mothers of America?
Why does Sally Kern consider the love for her own children to be more definitive than the love other mothers have for their gay sons, and who don’t call them dangerous to our country?
I’m not interested in the sexual orientation of Rep. Kern’s children, yet Kern is fascinated with the private lives of total strangers who have caused her no harm whatsoever. I am interested in her hypocrisy.
People and organizations such as those that support Rep.Kern are desirous of only one thing and that is to control others in order to stamp out anything resembling “otherness”.
Such a country, if they had their way would no longer be the Democracy Kern claims to be defending, but rather a Theocracy, devoted to the practice of religion, much like the Islamic countries Kern denounces as dangerous.

Sally Kern is the victim of threats of bodily harm from haters. Notice this quote from Ron Jenkin’s April 15, 2008 article - State police said they are investigating death threats against her. The homosexual activists making these threats are the intolerant ones.

Sean,
Really? You don’t feel that equating innocent citizens to terrorists because of their sexuality is intolerant? What about making up phony “facts” to back up her asinine assertions? While I certainly do not condone threatening anyone in any way, you can not paint her as an innocent by any stretch of the imagination.
I agree with gmknobl, intolerance breeds intolerance. In this case, some innocent people are being called out as destroying this nation, it seems to me they have every right to be angry. They are intolerant of intolerance.
I wonder what should change in this scenario. Should the innocent people being discriminated against and treated as second class citizens simply let it go? Or should the perpetrators of this hatred, bigotry, and discrimination be held accountable for their actions?

Notice how Rep Kern is being labeled intolerant and bigoted and only for speaking out. Then threats are made against her and somehow it is all her fault. Rep Kern is the victim of hate. She stated that she likes gay people, but she has a big problem with the homosexual agenda. She called it dangerous. I think that is appropriate since this movement labels people that disagree as intolerant and so on. Also this movement has abused the power of government and jailed innocent people in the Philadelphia eleven group situation. They were victims of viewpoint discrimination and the gay activists brought charges against for merely speaking out in public.
We should tolerate people we disagree with, but that does not mean their immorality should be forced on us. Look at this article on tolerance, thanks. http://www.citizenlink.org/clc.....007042.cfm
