The McCain girls are back with a new video. You may remember them from “It’s rainin’ McCain” which I showed on March 24th. There are a lot of mean and hurtful comments on both of these video’s and I wanted to voice my support for these ladies. Sure they may not conform to America’s narrow and unrealistic preconception of “beauty” like Obama Girl. They may not have Leah Koffman’s singing ability. But they have every right to sing their songs without suffering mean spirited personal attacks about their appearance.

Besides, if John McCain could raise more than the paltry 15 million a month he would probably attract beautiful and talented women too. As it is I think the McCain Girls are doing great and should keep at it. It takes real skill and courage to pull off this kind of brilliant satire. Stephen Colbert has to be jealous. Thanks for the laughs and I look forward to the next song.

Update: I got an email from a reader that this video wasn’t working.  Well I checked and it appears that “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by The MCPS - PRS Alliance Ltd.”.  Thats too bad because it was hilarious. ~ William 4/9/08
