This website has taken the top 10 books by university and compared that to the university’s average SAT scores. The results show what books are most popular based upon intelligence.

So there you have it, the Bible ranked as number 92 in the top 100 books that make you dumber. Of course this isn’t scientific and is mostly intended to be funny, but its still interesting. I have personally read 5 of these, 3 of the top 10 and 2 from the bottom. How many have you all read?

I find it interesting that half of the books in the bottom ten are labeled as African-American. I presume that would mean they are read more frequently at colleges with large A-A populations. The lower IQ’s might therefore be attributed to the cultural discrepancy in scores. And since many of those colleges are in the south, that might also account for the bible near the bottom because of that regions large evangelical presence. I’m not sure what the several erotica novels in the bottom ten would say about ones IQ though.
