Wow, it feels good to be back. I took full advantage of the holiday weekend and totally unplugged from news. I really needed it and I have a clearer head now. It’s something I totally recommend everyone doing. Of course I missed some stuff but nothing that I can’t live without knowing. It is good to be back writing again though so here is the RSS Roundup for everything important that happened in the blogosphere yesterday.
Novak Attacks Gov. Sibelius For Supporting Womens Rights
The other day douchebag of liberty Robert Novak wrote an opinion piece for the Washington Post praising Kansas Democratic Governor Kathleen Sebelius for her strong support for women’s rights and reproductive freedom. I wanted to thank Robert Novak as I don’t think that the nation is aware of the many progressive values and accomplishments of our wonderful Governor. Being from Kansas, Sibelius has been branded a moderate Democrat and I think this article was exactly what she needed to help bolster her progressive image. Glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks so either.
The Rest of The News
- John McCain thinks that the reason American’s are dispirited is because we haven’t passed a trade agreement with Colombia. Yup, that nails it perfectly. It’s not endless pointless war, 4$ gas, an economy in the toilet, and his view of 4 more of the same … it’s that Colombia thing that has us all down. Dumbass.
- Former Republican Bob Barr secures Libertarian Party nomination. There is talk that this could cause problems with McSame but really I’m just happy that the crazy Libertarians have a party. Makes it easier to tell who they are and avoid them.
- John McCain continues to lie and distort about the Webb G.I. Bill that would greatly improve education benefits for our soldiers.
- The Republicans like to tout our all-volunteer army, especially when avoiding responsibility for their deaths and disabilities. Only we don’t actually have an all-volunteer army as thousands of troops have been forced to remain in active duty after their contracts expire. Well, now Democrats are trying to make sure these troops are fairly compensated. lets see how fast the Republicans prove that “Supporting the Troops” is just a bumper sticker.
- A Ford dealership, Keiffe & Sons Ford, in Mojave CA is running an ad that clearly discriminates against non-Christians.
But did you know that 86% of Americans say they believe in God? Since we all know that 86 out of every 100 of us are Christians, who believe in God, we at Keiffe & Sons Ford wonder why we don’t tell the other 14% to sit down and shut up. I guess maybe I just offended 14% of the people who are listening to this message. Well, if that is the case then I say that’s tough, this is America folks, it’s called free speech. None of us at Keiffe & Sons Ford are afraid to speak out. Keiffe & Sons Ford on Sierra Highway in Mojave and Rosamond, if we don’t see you today, by the grace of God, we’ll be here tomorrow.
Ford has been less than concerned about this as well. Well, I this makes my next car purchase that much easier.
- Lieberman apparently compared Pastor Hagee to Moses? I don’t really understand either but I have long ago given up on understanding conservatives and soulless leaches like Lieberman and McCain. Curious though, does that mean that to guys like Lieberman when McCain denounced Hagee’s endorsement (after first seeking it) it’s akin to denouncing Moses? Interesting.
Video Photo Montage of the Day
Michelle Malkin, who is famous for having a fat ass and a … sorry, thats someone else … has surpassed her previous record for stupidity by making the insane connection between celebrities wearing scarves and supporting terrorists. So as a public service I feel the need to expose the other hidden terrorists lovers hiding in Hollywood.
Thats after just 5 minutes on Google. I shudder to think how many terrorists loving scarf wearers are lurking out there. I’m going to have to subscribe to Malkins RSS Feed so that she can keep me safe.

Good to hear you’re back.
Now for a short rant.
I am pissed. No one should ever consider snooping in on my conversations or writings, digital or otherwise, legal and I THOUGHT this had been a protected right, as it is firmly embedded in the fourth amendment to the constitution. Bush disagreed, and to be fair, so have prior administrations. But so far, any actions they have taken violating this have been noted and shown to be illegal.
But not anymore. Bush asked the telcos to wiretap before 9/11. They obliged. He did so afterwards in a big building outside DC snooping through millions of internet transmissions. And now we find that these actions and the acquiescence of the telcos is to be dismissed as retroactively legal (a concept that boggles my mind). And who effectively said this was okay? Why republicans (to be fair not all of them) and 105 democrats. Some of the democrats state that this is now okay because the president won’t do this again without asking them nicely because of some silly wording in the bill.
C’mon guys! Do you expect us to believe that? Did Bush do this last time? Do you think he or any other president like him will do so later? NO WAY. This is pretty simple but I’ll spell it out for you anyway. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. You’ve given him, and because of your bill, any telco that wants to look at our communications the PERFECT, LEGAL RIGHT (according to this illegal bill) TO SPY ON US ANY TIME THEY WANT! Bull-Hockey!
If this isn’t illegal search and seizure without a warrant, then nothing is. It doesn’t matter if the reason is terrorism, child molestation, or anything else you come up with. Without a warrant, it should never be done. FISA be damned! It is not hard to call up a judge at 3 AM and tell him what’s up. They can issue a warrant within a very short – less than an hour’s – time. No fancy “24″ scenario makes me believe that lives depend on this when it is plain, if life saving was actually their desire, they would have acted on the prior available evidence and done something about the terrorists before 9/11. They chose to ignore evidence, despite warnings from the Clinton Administration then yet they still want to right to do spy on me to prevent more bad things (they say) from happening. Nope. I don’t buy it. This is a power grab pure and simple, to benefit those in power.
This is a tool that WILL BE used to hurt those people those in power don’t like, no matter if they are acting legally. I am a prime target and so are you. If you believe this will only be used against those who are a threat, you are a fool. If you believe your right to say or write what you want isn’t abridged, you are a fool.
And I’m not going to let it happen, if I can do anything about it. Everyone should go out right now and download a copy of free encryption technology such as OpenPGP (www.openpgp.org), install it and encrypt everything you send over wires.
This will make you more of a target for our nation’s snooping agencies (CIA, FBI, The White House, Blair House) but if you make your encryption high enough, it will take them a long time to crack it and all they’ll find is you saying how rotten they, and the Republicrats who signed our inalienable liberties away are.
These rich kowtowers deserve nothing from us, let alone the ability to vote for us and if it were possible to kick them out of office by pressing a button, I would.
I’m pissed. So should every American of good heart.
Barack Obama voted for the law giving those telecom companies immunity from being prosecutes for what we did. Meanwhile, you guys support the Federal Government, via Roe v. Wade, violating the tenth amendment in order to guarantee the right to an abortion. I’m a Republican and I’m pro-choice, but I do NOT believing in violating the Constitution. There is not outright right to privacy in the Constitution; if so there couldn’t be any search warrants. There are provisions to protect it during instances, and that’s it. Further, the tenth amendment says the Federal Government can’t do anything the Constitution doesn’t say it can do. If you guys actually supported candidates who respected their oath to the Constitution, we wouldn’t be worried ABOUT CORPORATIONS BEING ASKED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO SPY ON US. The Constitution is our basic legal document. The day you choose to piss on it and say that anything you want it to say, it says, is the day you remove it from relevance, and hence the day we no longer are ruled by law, but rather by whoever is lucky enough to be in Congress and the White House. You don’t want the government to spy on us? Well then stop asking the government to ignore the Constitution, which is exactly what you’re doing when you support Roe v. Wade.
Again, I’m pro-choice. If I were able to write the Constitution, I’d guarantee the right to abortion, marriage, adoption, everything. But if the Constitution DOESN’T say that, and the government still does it, then you’re eliminating the Constitution and all the civil rights that come with it.
Thak you for the news
