standardAnd……We’re Back

So after taking a looooooong break from political/religious blogging, we are back!

Many thanks to our loyal readers for enticing us back into the fray. We had to cut back on our online ventures for quite awhile but have reached a spot, finally, where we will be able to make time for this blog and some others that have been sitting around gathering dust.

If you are new to this site, welcome, if you are an old fan (or enemy) welcome back! We look forward to continuing the debate. By the way, what the hell is wrong with the Republican party?? ;)

Hello, I’m writing a short message to you in regards to the post you made about the 10 reasons not to vote for Ron Paul.

    http://wwjv4.com/republicans/10-reasons-not-to-vote-for-ron-paul-159#respond

I can’t respond to that so I decided I’d send you a comment here. All I’d like to say is please reconsider your views on Ron Paul. I’ve read everything that you’ve said, and I respect your beliefs. However, I STRONGLY urge you to please set aside a couple of differences and really take a look at what he stands for. Individual rights, liberty, prosperity, Deep budget cuts without affecting Americans, bringing the troops home, etc. America has been held down, deceived and cheated by the expansion of power of the government, and is going in the same direction for far too long, and yet we still haven’t recovered.

    Blessings,
    Stephen

Glad to see this blog is back!! In response to the comments just posted asking you to reconsider Ron Paul: I’m sure Paul is for the “individual rights and liberty” of some people; the problem is that he supports policies AGAINST the rights and liberty of many others (including the half of humanity that I belong to). By the way, I found your blog when searching for a sane analysis of the claims he makes in a recent, slick but (I think) simplistic YouTube video entitled “The Million Dollar Penny” — accusing the Federal Reserve of conspiring to steal from taxpayers. Who might shed some light there?

  3. Thanks for your concern Stephen; however, I will not be changing my views on Ron Paul. I have thoroughly looked at what he stands for, not just what he says, but also what he has voted for.
Standing for individual rights means acknowledging that we have a burden to ensure the rights of the minorities are not trampled by the majority. That is something Ron Paul does not support doing. Writing something off as “states rights” is often just a convenient way to allow discrimination to continue while not having to be on record as actually encouraging it.

Chris, I will have to look at the YouTube video I haven’t seen it.

    Thanks for reading!
