President Barack Obama is being targeted by some on the right for being soft on crime after pardoning a Turkey yesterday.  While this was the first pardon of his short presidency some worry that it sets a a dangerous precedent.  How after all, they wonder, will he stand up to terrorists when he can’t even take down common poultry.

Teabaggers across the nation are gathering in large groups of 1000 or sometimes 2000 to protest paying taxes today.  If your like me your probably confused that people would protest taxes given that Barack Obama will be lowering taxes on 95% of all Americans.  So as a public service to the teabaggers everywhere here is a video explaining exactly why they are pissed off.

This post reminds me that I need to clean up this blog and get back to work.  Even with most of the bums kicked out of Congress and a wonderful president there is so much work to do.

I had planned a long post on why Summer and I have decided that we will continue our families Christmas traditions but instead I wanted to bring you some joy and happiness.  So today lets just enjoy this short video from CUTEzzz.com and be merry.  Politics be damned for one extended weekend were going to go and hang out with friends and family and have fun, no matter how much we dont enjoy it

I think whoever put this ad together did an excellent job.  Subtle, effective, and well thought out.  While I am personally not super anti-coal like some of my friends I do feel that the clean coal myth needs to be addressed.  My sincere hope is that as alternative ways to produce energy are perfected and implemented we will see less and less coal used.   Actually thats almost a near certanty as alternative energy is both cleaner and cheaper over the long run.

50. Avoid even Unitarian churches because they’re too close to religion for you.

Well I scored 10 out of 50, not very hardcore at all.  I guess thats to be expected as I dont think of myself as atheist.  Maybe Summer will score higher.

So look for a fresh new … erm … look and a renewed energy.  I honestly can’t say how excited I am to be back at WWJV4.com and I hope that some of our old readers are still around.  So check out Talk Topeka, it just launched and its still trying to find its sea legs, and look for even more blogs to be rolled out over the winter.
