Yesterday we saw the final votes cast in one of the most amazing and historic primary campaigns in our nations history. I don’t need to go into all the many reasons why this year has been one that our grandchildren will learn about in school. Two of those reasons are painfully obvious just by looking at our top candidates.
Even though Clinton and Obama stayed practically tied in every measurement in the end there is a clear winner. I have truthfully said this whole time that I would fully support any of our top 3 for president and I think that most Democrats feel the same way. So even though I threw my support behind Obama a while back, today is the first day that we can say that Barack Obama is the presumptive Democratic nominee.
Hold on to your pants, now its going to really get interesting. Watch these two give their speeches last night. Obama gives a great speech and I think Hillary does as well. Some may have wanted something different from her but I think her supporters are all happy. I know I am.

President Bush is my hero, so I have to admit that I shocked by some of the rhetoric you used, such as,”They (administration) have lied and stolen and cheated and bullied their way through every obstacle between them and whatever it is they want to do.” Weapons of mass destruction (WMD’s)was one of the reasons given by the Bush administration to broaden the war on terror to include Iraq. Other rationale included aiding terrorists and continually violating no-fly zones imposed by UN, I believe. The WMD’s reason for war was later found to be in error because of faulty intelligence from the CIA and MI-6, and other intelligent agencies. Senator Clinton also made speeches that used relied upon this rationale to expand the war. So it would not be correct to say the President lied, when he was given incorrect information. Also the UN exercised democracy and voted numerous times on what history later judged as meaningless resolutions concerning Iraq. Our US congress exercised democracy many times in voting for funding the war and for funding the troops. President Bush sees the threat of radical Islam and has appropriately gone on the offensive instead of waiting for the next attack. He has been frank and told the truth to the public. He has made a strong case for war.
Sean, They Lied about Iraq Then and they are still lying to us today. If the only thing they lied about was Iraq I would be happy. Do some research and come back with a proper rebuttal. Just because people believed the White House’s lies doesn’t mean they were not lies. By the same argument we would have to conclude that the Easter Bunny is real this weekend because so many people have said so.
There was circumstancial evidence found of secret WMD programs in Iraq. See this article for 2004 for example http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=38213 Have a good weekend.
Say no more, you convinced me at “circumstantial”. Seriously though thanks for the reference and I’ll check it out when I have time and get back with you.
