standardEdwards Out Front On Labor

The Massachusetts SEIU has endorsed John Edwards for President. According to this story on Talking Points Memo this endorsement joins Iowa, California, Washington, Michigan, Idaho, Montana, Minnesota, Ohio, West Virginia and Oregon. With 11 state endorsements so far Edwards has a strong lead over the other presidential hopefuls.

Edwards has a long history of supporting labor unions and has long championed for the working American. He is well known for fighting to raise minimum wage and reduce poverty, two issues that are very important to labor unions and the everyday working man. While all of the Democrats have won support from the unions for their long support for the working class, Edwards is starting to distinguish himself as THE candidate for the average Joe.

Across the board there is a sharp distinction in the attitude towards the average working American between the two parties. This distinction has been hammered home lately as the Republican party works to block any legislation that will help our nation’s workers. Whether it is health care for our children or organizing labor unions to improve working conditions the Republicans can be counted on to fight against it.

At WWJV4.com we want to congratulate John Edwards for winning his 11th endorsement. We also want to thank all the Democrats who are working so hard to fight the uphill battle for the blue collar workers against an oppressive administration. I wish all of our Democrats the best of luck and I’m proud that I finally have a group of candidates where I can honestly endorse any one of them for President.

  1. This is the story I was getting ready to write about. Out of all of the crazy stuff that came out of the Republican debate last night this is one thing that stuck out at me.

    From this MSN News article

(Giuliani) would support a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage if states begin to legalize it.

Not only is he reversing his support of gays and lesbians, he is also reversing his stance that marriage rights should be up to the states. Now he is saying it’s up to the states unless they start legalizing it then we have to stop it. What a hypocrite!
